Nehad Mohamad is a Sudanese, Australian artist whose work blends abstract florals, textured surfaces, and fluid movement to explore the themes of identity, self-reflection, and inner resilience. With an academic background in Architecture and Engineering, and a degree in Visual Art from the University of Southern Queensland, Nehad combines structural understanding with intuitive expression to create artwork rich in emotion and form.

Art has been Nehad’s lifelong passion, an inner language she has carried with her long before entering formal studies. Today, she works with a variety of mediums, including acrylic paint, acrylic markers, resin, 3D paste, and liquid art panels, allowing her to build pieces that feel both dynamic and deeply tactile.

Much of Nehad’s creative inspiration comes from her personal journey of self-exploration and spiritual awareness. Her work reflects on the multi-layered aspects of self—particularly personality, spirituality, and sexuality, and how these elements shape our lived experiences. Through abstract florals and organic textures, she expresses the beauty found in vulnerability and the courage it takes to embrace one’s truth.

Central to Nehad’s philosophy is the belief that both art and humans are meant to be imperfect. She draws strength from Leonard Cohen’s iconic words:
“There is a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in.”

About the Artist

This idea appears throughout her artistic process, where imperfections are not hidden but highlighted, symbolising growth, acceptance, and the light that emerges from within.

Nehad’s vision is to make art accessible for everyone and to encourage a deeper connection to self through creativity. Through her brand, Golden Fusion Artistry, she continues to develop work that inspires reflection, healing, and a celebration of individuality.
